Dr. White By Jane Goodall.
This is a wonderful sweet and heartwarming story of a stray "Bichon" living the streets of London but looking for handouts at the hospital lunch room. The staff take a liking to the little dog and the dog offers so much to so many at the hospital until . . . but . . . it does have a happy ending. Certainly a tear jerker but wonderful. This is a children's book and the pictures are just wonderful.

Dog Heaven By Cynthia Rylant.
This is a great book to aid in the comfort of losing your best friend and companion dog. The simple pictures and text are wonderful. The dog is even a little white one. You will find this book in the children's section of a book store or get it from your library or interlibrary loan if your library does not have it.
